2. Solar-Powered Mason Jar Chandeliers
This project combines classic rustic charm with modern efficiency. By repurposing Mason jars into solar-powered lanterns, you eliminate the need for cords or batteries. This is an incredibly sustainable and functional way to light up a patio dining area.
How to Make
Purchase solar-powered jar lids that fit standard wide-mouth Mason jars. These lids have a small solar panel on top and an LED string light attached to the underside. Clean your jars thoroughly. If you want to diffuse the light, brush a thin layer of frosted glass spray paint on the interior of the jar. Screw the solar lids onto the jars and hang them using heavy-gauge wire wrapped securely around the jar neck.
